you’re born naked and the rest is drag

My friend Alicia turned seventeen today. She’s not having any sort of celebration—none of my friends do. I guess I’m the last to give up getting everyone together to have a so-called “traditional” birthday party (meaning, I guess, that we all go out to dinner and then back to my house for board games???). It’s kind of sad, because it means everyone is growing up. If having a birthday party means I’m childish, then I’d prefer to stay that way.
