If you’ve never had Vietnamese beef broth with noodles and delicious morsels of beef and onions (a.k.a. the magical meal known as phò) I highly recommend you have a bowl of it sometime. You’re missing out if you don’t.
Phò has played a hella significant role in my life—on Thursdays after early dismissal my friends and I will take the bus to the mall and eat at this one restaurant we always go to and talk over a steaming hot bowl of the stuff, and it’s always a good time. I guess I associate it with pleasant things; with friends and with fun. Trust me: it is excellent. (And quick, too. They bring it out only a few minutes after you order. And it’s cheap—usually around $9-$10 in my experience for the average noodles-broth-rare beef-onion combo without any fancy extra add-ons. So really, there’s nothing not to like about it.)
